• does it come with dual remote controls so you can personalize your side of the bed your comfort level
• does the mattress have lots of air chambers (4 or more) so that the movements of your partner is not as noticable
• does the mattress habe a built in memory that remembers your prefered sleep setting
• does it have a single button for fully inflating the bed (use this to fill the bed when you make up the bed in the morning, then when you go to sleep at night, press the memory button and your exact sleep number is dialed back in)

• memory foam mattresses tend to hold your body heat so if you live in a warm climate that might be a concern. But if you live in a cold climate, that might be a bonus
• you might need to re-adjust the firmness setting over time because even in the high quality beds, the air mattress may stretch a bit, but this is normal
• the plastic that is used to make the mattress can have a strong smell so, if possible, inflate the air mattress by itself for a few days and let it air out
• sometimes there is a size difference when comparing a regular bed to a memory foam air mattress. Check the dimensions of the bed before you buy it because you may need to increase the size, ie, from a queen to a king, for your sheets to match perfectly.
• research the thickness of the memory foam on the mattress before you make your final decision too. Because if it is too thin or not dense enough, you may not get the support that you need
• lastly, check for a replacement guarantee in the event that your memory foam air mattress should leak. Some places will replace the mattress for free and others may replace it but you have to pay for shipping.
